BASIC BOAT WINTERIZATION ~ Saturday, September 28. Based on mechanical needs of small diesels, outboards and stern drives, and gas inboards. Subjects covered: things to think about before you haul your boat; engine fresh water system; engine raw water system; fresh drinking water, waste water; inboard /outboard engine: oil, filters, fuel filters, stabilizers, batteries; gears, lower units; electronics.
MARINE SYSTEMS ~ Saturday, October 26. Based on ABYC* standards for boats 16ft to 45ft. Subjects covered: gas and diesel fuel systems; propane; electrical: 12 volt batteries; bilge pumps, potable water systems; thru hull fittings, seacocks, hose requirements; ventilation of boats using gasoline; engine controls; steering.
MARINE COMPOSITES & REPAIRS ~ Saturday, November 23. Based on ABYC* & ACMA** standards. Subjects covered: resin systems, safety; fabrics, fillers, basic lamination; repair 101, polyester resins basics; gel coat; West epoxy products, use & safety.
